SEN
(Special Educational Needs)
Mosaic Jewish Primary School is an inclusive school, and we believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. As a school, we work together to ensure that all children are both challenged and supported in lessons. Where needed, we provide additional support to help them succeed.
From time to time, children may require extra help to overcome a learning difficulty or to ensure the curriculum fully extends their abilities. Specialist support is available within the school. Our Special Needs Co-ordinator oversees a team classroom assistants who work closely with classroom teachers. This team supports children through focused groups and targeted intervention work and monitors their progress.
Where appropriate, we also collaborate with external professionals, such as Educational Psychologists and other support agencies, to provide additional help.
Children with specific needs are provided with an SEND Support Plan, which is reviewed regularly throughout the year. This process involves children, parents, and the school working together to ensure the best outcomes.
